This is what I presume to be a little road side garden. Notice the little sprouts, and the nicely tilled rows of dirt. I also noticed a funny smell which was close to the cow manure that they would spread on the corn field back in my home town. But this smell was off a little bit.
I then notice the white stringy type junk on the dirt. I’m 87.4% sure that it’s toilet paper. That would make.. well. the smell. Great. How lovely. I don’t want to know what they used to fertilize it.

Well like every Saturday or there abouts we go eat spicy food at the local Sichuan place.
Today there were remodeling. The boss lady was out mixing the cement. How’s that for awesome. I want to see any lady boss in the States get out in her nice clothes and do work..
I guess it’s ok to mix cement on a sidewalk. No harm no foul right.
Get in there girl..
The goods.
And of course, it’s sunny today. So hang your fish. This one was on the corner hanging on a power pole.

Ah, yes. Good old Saturdays. I wish I didn’t have to work, but I do.
At least I can take some solace in the fact that Saturdays we go to Sichuan food. Eat spicy things and drink booze.. All for lunch.
Awesome..
Egg plant.
Lettice.
Chicken.
Potato.
Beer.
Beef.

I found this little gem at the store the other day.
Camp’s Maple Syrup for 110RMB or about 17USD. From what I found online that’s about 150% more then if you bought it online in NY at All In Kosher.
Either way, just think about this, at 110RMB that is about 6-7% of a factory workers pay here.
So, take your salary and see what you could buy where you are for that amount. If you make 2000$ a month, think what you could buy for around 110$.
Trying to compare things like that in China, just doesn’t work. I’ve tried and my head still hurts from these kind of things.

You would think that a city of about a million would have a real burger.
But they don’t. Everytime I head into Shanghai, or another major city I have to get me one of these bad boys.
A real burger.

So during one of my so exciting work days we had a supplier roll in to get something, basically money. Which meant me, being a white guy, had to go have lunch with him and some factory people.
So, we went to a place I had been before, needless to say, it isn’t my favorite place to ingest food.
Here are some photos.

This is what the line outside of McDonald’s looks like.
I was going to enjoy some Oreo goodness until a swarm of Chinese people lined up. Yep, I’m included everyone here. Mostly because the majority of Chinese line up the same way. Which makes me the odd ball out. So really it’s only weird to me. But I need something to write about so here it is.
I was lined up behind two girls when like 3 different people tried to cut. We all know why, that damn soft serve. Anyway the cashier tried to get them to query up better but no one listened. My 2 person wait turned into like 6 and it seemed like no one had made their mind up yet. I bailed. This was going to end one way and that is a 10 minute wait for something that should of took 3 minutes if everyone lined up in an orderly fashion and looked at the menu before they reached the window. But this is China and not everyone is like me..
So… whatever. Next time I’ll get my flurry goodness.
