You notice this sometimes. It appears to be built sometime in the past. Not used and now it getting demolished.
You see how this works. A developer made money, the construction company made money. Everyone made money. But perhaps one person got had and ripped off. But everyone else made money. And in China if the person that is getting ripped off doesn’t know or isn’t smart enough to catch that fact, well, then he deserves to be ripped off and it’s all fair game.
Either way there are so many of these places around that it’s kinda crazy. Built for nothing basically.
The sign outside states that it is a parking lot. For what, your guess is as good as mine.
It’s Saturday, which means lunch at the local Sichuan place. Booyaah… My stomach is literally doing a waltz in anticipation.

The local sidewalk slaughter house made use of a live cow today. Fresh meat for all.

Here is a daylight shot of that construction area that I am talking about. Crazy amounts of construction. Perhaps this weekend I will venture over yonder and take some close up photos.
Anyways.

I headed out to check out some Japanese Cherry Blossoms last Sunday. But to my dismay they had not opened yet.
Perhaps this weekend they will.
Either way here are some photos of what appears to be a dead orchard. But I assure you in a week this will be super awesome looking. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to get back out there.
There were lots of people there enjoying the.. dead looking trees. Some people brought tents and hide in them from the sun. There were lots ob BBQing going on. And of course my friend and I were the only white people there. Not unusual. This tree farm is out of the way a bit. Unless you are in the know, read Chinese, or have a significant other that finds these things out, you just don’t know about them. I had to admit though, being alone there was boring. And since the flowers hadn’t bloomed yet, well, there wasn’t really anything to photograph. I suppose there was, but I was in it for the hero shots. Haha or something like that. Next time.

This is a typical construction site. However this one sits next to a moat type channel of water. You can see the relationship between the two.

It isn’t really the country. It is, but there are places, further out that are not close to anything that can be referred to as a city. Near where I photographed this area is a hotel where I routinely see Bentelys, Rolls Royce, and other high end insanely priced cars. So does it look like the country yes, is it truly the country side, probably not. Nonetheless.
A couple of panoramic photographs to get you started.
This is a panoramic photograph of the area across the street from the new apartment complex on the left. The local area has deep roots and culture within water. As you can see from the ponds and boats from most of my other posts.
Bricks mostly seem to be the construction materials. From the looks of it, they weren’t that cozy of house to live in.
This women is washing clothes in the very same pond that is in the first panoramic photograph. I’ve personally seem quite a few people wash clothes like this.
It won’t be here for much longer. They are tearing it down to build what I presume are apartments.

Every now and then, mostly whenever the sun is out you will see people drying things. I’ve posted photos of people drying fish, beef, and other kinds of meat. They also dry grass.
I asked him what he was drying and he told me it was leaves from the trees and pointed out to some trees that lined the road. Maybe he meant it was hedge clippings from the bushes that are in the median. He accent was pretty thick. I can’t be sure. I think he was scared to death of me when I started talking with him.
He was basically working his way down the road tilling the greens over so that they would dry more evenly.
Just one of those things. I find that China is more resourceful in areas. Mostly I think because it’s so poor. After it’s dry he can use it for starting a fire, filler for something and a bunch of other uses I’m sure. To him it’s useful and worth the time. I wish sometimes other people would think like that in regards to some areas of life.

I finally got time to go out and shoot some photos.
I’ll see if I can post some everyday for the next few days.
Stay tuned.
I ponied up to a bridge and watched the sunset tonight. Across the water are a unbelievable amount of new buildings going up. Sometime when I get around to it, I’ll shoot them in the morning so you can have a better view. For now enjoy the sun. It’s been quite sometime since I’ve personally seen it, the sun that is.

Well like every Saturday or there abouts we go eat spicy food at the local Sichuan place.
Today there were remodeling. The boss lady was out mixing the cement. How’s that for awesome. I want to see any lady boss in the States get out in her nice clothes and do work..
I guess it’s ok to mix cement on a sidewalk. No harm no foul right.
Get in there girl..
The goods.
And of course, it’s sunny today. So hang your fish. This one was on the corner hanging on a power pole.
